The Problem:
Travel Manitoba is the official tourism organization for bringing visitors to Manitoba. Travel Manitoba uses Crowdriff, a marketing platform for travel brands that sources user-generated content from local influencers. They had lots of content ready to be edited, however, they did not have an available editor to create the videos.
The Solution:
I went into Crowdriff and downloaded the clips from the content creators. I put the clips into a video editing app, VN Editor. I included a minimum of three clips: outside establishing shot, inside establishing shot, and product shot. Another thing I focused on is highlighting the clips of food and drinks that best showed coziness and comfort. I created a 45 second video with added video transitions to split up the three different cozy spots. After I went to Instagram, put the copy on the video highlighting warmth and coziness and included a visual hook to grab the audience's attention. For the caption, I highlighted the stores and their products, the address, and hours. I ended the caption with an open ended question to encourage the audience to leave comments on their favourite hot drink to stay cozy with in the winter.
The Result:
Right after posting the reel did super well. After a couple days, Travel Manitoba put a boost on the post and the final results are 215K views, 3,641 likes, 21 comments, 1,548 shares, and over 1,000 saves. My post made it into the top five Instagram Reels at Travel Manitoba's end of the year social media recap.
